A note about this list: Believe it or not, I’m not really a super big deal, so people don’t pay me to recommend their stuff. These are just products that I personally enjoy using and companies that I really love and support. It’s just good stuff. Period.
This is the farm from which we order our pork and beef. They take great care of their animals, and you can tell from the awesome quality of the meat. They do many deliveries to the Chicago area throughout the year.
Out-of-this-world spices, both for quality and selection. The prices are affordable and you can buy large quantities of spices that you use a lot at a bulk price. Their stores are wonderlands for spice-lovers, but they also have a website and free shipping for orders over $35!
Breslin Farms is a father-and-daughter operation growing certified organic row crops on the family farm. With a focus on biodiversity and sustainability, they concentrate on small grains and dry beans. They’re the best-tasting beans and grains I’ve ever had.
